The DJI Lito X1 is a compact drone weighing less than 249g that integrates a professional imaging system, advanced safety technologies and an extensive set of intelligent flight features into one device accessible to a wide range of users. The product is primarily intended for beginner and intermediate content creators, travelers, athletes and anyone who wants to create professional-quality aerial footage without the need for extensive technical knowledge or pilot training.
A weight below 249g is a strategic design decision that directly affects the drone's regulatory status in most countries around the world. Under European legislation (EU Regulation 2019/945), this weight places the drone in category C0 or allows operation in the "open" category without mandatory operator registration in some countries. For the average user, this means less bureaucratic obligations and more freedom in choosing a flight location compared to heavier drones.
The foldable design allows for quick deployment in the field – from unpacking the bag to takeoff, it can take seconds. The drone's arms fold and unfold without the use of tools and without the need to deal with propeller mounting, as they are firmly mounted on the motors.
Wind resistance of up to 10.7 m/s corresponds to a wind force of 5 on the Beaufort scale, which includes conditions where entire tree branches move and wave crests form on the water. In practice, this means that the drone can be used in normal windy weather in the mountains, near the coast or in urban environments where buildings create irregular air currents.
The DJI Lito X1 uses a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with a resolution of 48 megapixels. For comparison, most cheaper compact drones in the lower price category use 1/2 or 1/2.3-inch sensors, which capture significantly less light and produce significantly higher image noise in poor lighting. The 1/1.3-inch sensor on the DJI Lito X1 has a much larger area, which is directly reflected in the quality of images in poor lighting conditions, for example, when filming after sunset, indoors or in dense forests.
The lens with a maximum aperture of f/1.7 is one of the brightest in the compact drone class. A low f-number means that the aperture is opened to a larger diameter, allowing more light to enter the sensor. In practice, this allows you to use shorter exposure times, which reduces blurring of moving objects, or lower ISO sensitivity, which reduces image noise.
To maintain sharpness and minimize distortion, the optical system is designed with uniformity of sharpness across the entire recording area – recordings are sharp not only in the center, but also at the edges of the image.
4K/60 fps HDR video recording is the flagship video parameter of the DJI Lito X1. The 4K resolution (3840 × 2160 pixels) is four times the resolution of Full HD and, combined with a large sensor and bright lens, guarantees extremely detailed recordings. The 60 fps frame rate ensures a smooth image without tearing even with fast camera or tracked object movements.
HDR (High Dynamic Range) with a dynamic range of 14 EV is a technology that allows the drone to capture details in both bright and dark parts of the scene simultaneously. The human eye can distinguish a dynamic range of around 20 EV, while conventional cameras without HDR can handle 8–10 EV. The DJI Lito X1's 14 EV dynamic range brings visual results significantly closer to what the human eye sees, resulting in a natural and realistic-looking recording.
Slow motion video in 4K/100 fps mode is designed to capture fast movements with subsequent slowing down during playback. When playing 100 fps material at 25 fps (the European video standard), we get 4x slowing down. When playing back at 50 fps, we get 2x slowing down. Slow motion is technically demanding for both the drone's sensor and processor, as it requires processing a large amount of data in a short time - the ability to shoot slow motion in 4K resolution is a technical feat that was only available in professional cinematographic cameras a few years ago.
The 10-bit D-Log M profile is a logarithmic color profile that compresses the entire dynamic range of a scene into a 10-bit color space during recording in a way that preserves the maximum amount of color and brightness information. At first glance, footage shot in D-Log M looks washed out and lacks contrast – this is the correct result, because color and brightness information is distributed evenly across the entire dynamic range. When color-corrected in DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other editing software, it is possible to extract vivid, contrasty, and color-rich footage with a cinematic feel from D-Log M footage.

The maximum resolution of photos reaches 8K, which corresponds to a resolution of 48 megapixels (specifically 8064 × 6048 pixels). Photos in this resolution are suitable for large-format printing of A1 and larger formats while maintaining photographic quality, for significant cropping of images without losing detail, or for delivering material to professional clients with demands for maximum quality.
Photos are available in both JPEG (directly usable footage with automatic drone processing) and RAW (raw sensor data without internal processing, intended for your own post-production) formats. Combining both formats in a single shot allows you to have both an immediately usable JPEG photo and a raw RAW file for possible detailed editing.
SmartPhoto is an automatic recording optimization mode available at 4K (12MP) resolution. The algorithm analyzes the scene content, recognizes the type of environment (sunset, night scenes, bright light, shadow) and automatically adjusts the recording processing parameters so that the resulting photo looks as good as possible without manual adjustments by the photographer. For advanced manual settings and the maximum resolution of 8K, SmartPhoto is disabled.
ActiveTrack is a computer vision system that analyzes the camera image in real time, identifies the tracked object using pattern recognition algorithms, and generates commands for the drone's flight control system based on the detected position and movement of the object. Tracking occurs at speeds of up to 12 m/s (43.2 km/h) and is combined with an avoidance system to allow the drone to track an object in a complex environment without colliding with obstacles.
QuickShots are automated flight sequences in which the drone performs a predefined movement along a programmed trajectory. Each QuickShot has a defined flight trajectory, movement speed, gimbal movement and object tracking direction. The user only needs to select the tracked object, select the QuickShot type and press a button – the drone will do the rest automatically with repeatable accuracy regardless of the pilot's experience.
MasterShots goes even further – the drone itself selects a combination of flight movements suitable for a given scene, executes them in sequence, and automatically edits the resulting footage into a finished video with music and transitions according to the selected template. It is a fully automated video creation system where the user does not need to understand composition, editing, or flight choreography.
Hyperlapse is a technical feature for capturing long-term changes in a scene. The drone takes individual photos at regular time intervals and then composites these photos into a video with a set frame rate. The result is a smooth time-lapse clip from a bird's eye view, in which both camera movement and exposure are automatically stabilized by the drone.

The omnidirectional obstacle avoidance system consists of several cameras located around the perimeter of the drone, covering all directions of space. The image signals from these cameras are processed by the drone processor in real time using stereophotogrammetry algorithms that calculate the distance of the drone from the detected objects based on the parallax between the cameras. The minimum illumination level of 5 lux guarantees the functionality of the system even in poor lighting conditions.
The front LiDAR sensor works on the ToF (Time of Flight) principle - it sends laser pulses and measures the time it takes for the pulse to bounce off an obstacle and return to the sensor. Based on the speed of light and the measured pulse flight time, it calculates the exact distance to the object. LiDAR is able to detect objects regardless of lighting and with higher accuracy than camera systems when detecting thin objects such as electric wires or thin branches.
Smart RTH (Return to Home) is an automatic navigation function that returns the drone to the takeoff point when the signal is lost or the battery is discharged. When taking off, the drone stores the GPS coordinates of the starting point and the flight path (if GPS is available) or uses the visual positioning system (VOPS – Visual Odometry Positioning System) based on the optical flow and depth captured by the cameras. If neither GPS nor the visual system is available (for example, when flying at night), the drone will land at the location where it lost the signal.
The Intelligent Flight Battery is a smart lithium-polymer battery with integrated electronics that monitors the charge level, temperature, and health of individual cells. This information is transmitted in real time to the DJI Fly app, where the operator can view remaining flight time and planned return distance. The Intelligent Flight Battery provides a flight time of up to 36 minutes. The Intelligent Flight Battery Plus (available in the Fly More Combo Plus) extends the flight time to 52 minutes.
Charging via USB-C is compatible with the Power Delivery (PD) standard. For fast charging, a charger with a PD output of at least 30W is recommended. The DJI Lito X1 Two-Way Charging Hub allows you to charge up to three batteries at once, with automatic charging order management based on the charge status of each battery - the most discharged battery is charged first.
DJI O4 is DJI's fourth-generation proprietary wireless video transmission technology. It operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands with automatic switching between bands according to current interference conditions. The maximum range of 15 km (IC standard) was measured in an interference-free environment at sea level. In European conditions, the CE standard applies with a maximum range of 8 km. Live video transmission is in 1080p resolution at 60 fps with minimal lag.
Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) for QuickTransfer provides a maximum data transfer speed of 50 MB/s, allowing you to transfer the entire 42 GB of internal storage in 14 minutes. Compared to the previous generation Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 brings higher efficiency when transferring large amounts of data and better connection stability.
