The package includes a camera, a lighting light, a handle with a 1/4″ thread, a case and a USB 3.1 cable. Price €609. DJI has not yet announced a launch date for the European market, so reservations at Xtreme.sk are non-binding.

More information about DJI Osmo Pocket 4P

Two lenses, two types of shots without moving

The Osmo Pocket 4P has two separate lenses, each with its own image sensor. The wide-angle 20mm f/2.0 sits on a 1-inch CMOS and takes in the entire scene. The telephoto 60mm f/1.8 has its own 1/1.28-inch CMOS and zooms in.

Imagine this when you're traveling. You're standing in a square, shooting the entire space at 1x. You switch to 3x and you have a detail of a statue on the facade or a person's face at a stall, without even moving from your spot. The switch is physical — the camera switches to the second lens, not cropping out the first. That's why you don't lose resolution or sharpness in the zoomed-in shot.

Digital zoom goes further: up to 12x in video, 9x in photos.

Two DJI Osmo Action 4P camera lenses

An image you don't have to save in post-production

The new 1-inch stacked sensor with LOFIC technology handles 17 stops of dynamic range. This means it can capture both dark and bright parts of a scene in a single shot.

Where you know it best: A shot from a room out the window, where you want to see both the interior and the landscape behind the glass. A portrait against the sun. Exiting a tunnel. Shots in the forest, where the sun shines through the treetops. A regular camera has to choose in these scenes — either burn the light white or drown the shadows in black. The Osmo Pocket 4P can handle both.

If you edit and color-correct on your computer, the camera records in 10-bit D-Log 2 with over a billion color shades. If you don't have time to edit, leave the standard profile or choose one of six film tones (CC Film, NC Film, Pastel, Warm Tone, Movie, Retro) and the video is ready straight from the camera.

Stabilization that software can't replace

The camera is mounted on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. The difference compared to stabilization in a phone is fundamental: the phone stabilizes the image in software, meaning it crops and calculates it. The gimbal physically compensates for movement with motors before the image is recorded. You don't lose your field of view and there are no artifacts.

The accuracy is ±0.005°, the rotation range is 235° horizontally and 125° vertically. Whether you are walking, running or filming from a car, you will get a smooth, shake-free shot.

The camera that won't lose you

ActiveTrack 8.0 locks onto your subject and keeps them centered in the frame. It works throughout the zoom range up to 12x, so tracking doesn’t drop out even when shooting far away. The tracking range is from half a meter at 1x to 50 meters at full zoom.

Multi-Person Tracking keeps up to eight people in the frame at once. When someone enters the frame, the gimbal automatically recomposes the composition to fit them in.

You can also control the camera with gestures. An open palm starts tracking, a "V" gesture starts recording. Up to three meters at 1×, up to fifteen at full zoom.

Video modes

Normal recording runs in 4K at 24 to 60 frames per second. For social networks, the camera shoots directly vertically in 3K resolution (1728×3072), so you don't crop the footage afterwards.

Slow motion in 4K goes up to 240 fps on the wide-angle lens and 200 fps on the telephoto lens. That's eight times slower than full resolution.

You have three modes for time-lapse video: Hyperlapse for movement in space, Timelapse for static shots with an interval of half a second, and Motionlapse, where you set up to four positions and the gimbal smoothly transitions between them.

Night mode records 4K at ISO up to 51,200 on the wide-angle lens.

Photos

The camera shoots at a resolution of up to 37 MP (7680×4320). It saves photos in both JPEG and raw DNG format, so they can be processed in Lightroom just like they were from the camera.

Panorama mode composes 180° shots and a 3x3 grid. 4K Live Photo also records a 1.5-second clip before and after the shutter is pressed.

The electronic shutter goes up to 1/16,000 second, which is enough for sharp shots even in bright sunlight with an open aperture.

Display and control

The 2-inch OLED touchscreen has a brightness of 1000 nits, making it readable even in direct sunlight. Flip the display to turn on the camera and start recording straight away — no need to search for a button.

There are two physical buttons below the display. The left one controls the zoom: one press switches to 3x, two presses to 6x, holding it zooms in continuously. The right one is customizable — it can switch between gimbal, photo and video modes, turn on the light, or lock the gimbal.

Sound

The camera has three built-in microphones with 48 kHz stereo recording quality. It's enough for close-up sound, ambient noise, and casual vlogging at your fingertips.

If you need better sound later, the camera supports the DJI OsmoAudio system. The DJI Mic transmitter connects directly via Bluetooth without a receiver or cable.

Battery and storage

The 1545mAh battery lasts for 210 minutes when recording at 1080p/24fps with Wi-Fi and the display off, according to DJI. Expect shorter times when recording at 4K and the display on. Charging to 80% takes 18 minutes, and to 100% takes 32 minutes.

The built-in 103 GB will cover about 75 minutes of recording in the highest quality, so you don't have to buy a card right away. When you need it, the camera takes microSD up to 1 TB. You can transfer the recording to your computer via USB 3.1 at speeds of up to 800 MB/s.

For whom is the Standard Combo enough?

This package will cover most of your regular shooting needs — landscape and travel, family video, product shots, and social media content. Built-in memory and microphones mean you can take the camera out of the box and start shooting without any additional purchases.

When Standard Combo is not enough

There are three situations when you will hit its limits:

You're recording spoken word outside. Built-in microphones are good, but distance and wind will defeat them. If you're speaking into the camera from more than a meter away or filming in the city, you need a wireless microphone. This is included with the Vlog Combo.

You're filming yourself standing far away from the camera. Without a remote, you have to walk over to the camera every time you start and stop. The Osmo FrameTap controller is included with the Vlog Combo and is not yet sold separately.

You need to set up the camera. The handle has a 1/4″ thread, but the tripod is not included. The Osmo Mini Tripod costs €17 separately.

What to order with the Standard Combo

Accessories Price When will you need it?
Osmo Mini Tripod €17 Stills, interviews, timelapse
Osmo Pocket 4 Battery Handle €71 Full day filming. Adds 150 minutes to the basic 210
microSD card by capacity Only when you fill up the 103 GB of built-in memory
PGYTECH Pocket 3.4 Expansion Adapter €25 Connecting accessories via cold shoe

Note on memory cards: DJI recommends specific models. When recording in 4K/240fps with a bitrate of 180 Mbps, a slower card will not be able to handle the recording and the camera will stop recording. This is not worth saving on. We recommend the card SanDisk micro SDXC card 256GB Extreme GO.

Standard or Vlog Combo?

If you're hesitant, check out the detailed review on the Osmo Pocket 4P Vlog Combo page. It's worth noting that the Osmo FrameTap controller isn't sold separately yet. DJI will likely release it as an optional accessory later, but until then, you'll only be able to access it through the Vlog Combo.

Frequently Asked Questions - FAQ

What does the Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo include?

The package includes the Osmo Pocket 4P camera, Osmo Pocket 4 Fill Light, 1/4″ threaded handle, Osmo Pocket Pro carrying case, USB-C PD cable with USB 3.1 support, and wrist strap. DJI's suggested retail price is €624.

Does the Osmo Pocket 4P really have two lenses?

Yes, these are two physically separate lenses, each with its own image sensor. The wide-angle 20mm f/2.0 uses a 1-inch CMOS, the telephoto 60mm f/1.8 uses a 1/1.28-inch CMOS. When switching to 3x, the camera switches to the second lens, so there is no digital cropping and no loss of resolution.

Is there a memory card in the Standard Combo package?

No, but you don't need it right away. The Osmo Pocket 4P has 103GB of built-in storage, which is equivalent to about 75 minutes of recording at the highest quality (180 Mbps). You can add a microSD card with a capacity of up to 1TB when the built-in memory is no longer enough. We recommend the SanDisk micro SDXC card 256GB Extreme GO

Is there a tripod in the Standard Combi?

No. The package includes a handle with a 1/4″ thread that can be attached to any tripod, but the tripod itself is not included. The Osmo Mini Tripod from DJI costs €17 separately.

Does the Standard Combo include a microphone?

An external wireless microphone is not included in the package. The camera has three built-in microphones with stereo recording, which are sufficient for regular close-up filming. For spoken word in outdoor environments, we recommend the Vlog Combo, which includes the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter.

Is the Osmo Pocket 4P waterproof?

No. DJI does not list any IP rating for the Osmo Pocket 4P, so the camera is not water or dust resistant. For shooting in water, rain, or dusty environments, an action camera like the DJI Osmo Action or GoPro is better suited. However, a genuine waterproof case will probably be available in time.

Can I purchase an Osmo FrameTap with the Standard Combo?

Not at the moment. DJI does not sell the Osmo FrameTap remote controller separately yet and only ships it in the Vlog Combo package. Based on past experience, DJI will likely release it as a separate accessory later, but has not yet announced a specific date or price. If you are planning to control the camera remotely, it is easier to choose the Vlog Combo right away — it is cheaper in the package than buying the accessories separately.

What is the difference between the Standard Combo and the Vlog Combo?

The Vlog Combo for €716 includes everything from the Standard Combo plus the Osmo FrameTap remote, DJI Mic Mini 2 wireless microphone transmitter with accessories, Osmo Mini Tripod, and a larger carrying case. The camera itself is identical in both packages. The Standard Combo is suitable if you are mainly shooting images, the Vlog Combo if you are shooting yourself with spoken commentary.

How long does the battery last and can it be extended?

DJI lists 210 minutes of operation when recording in 1080p/24fps with Wi-Fi and the display off. Expect shorter times when recording in 4K and the display on. The Osmo Pocket 4 Battery Handle for €71 adds another 150 minutes and can be purchased at any time later. Or the PGYTECH Pocket 3.4 Battery Handle for €51.

When will the Standard Combo be available?

The DJI camera has been officially introduced, but it has not yet reached the European market and the date of stocking has not been announced. You can reserve the Standard Combo without obligation at Xtreme.sk. As an authorized DJI dealer, we are among the first to receive information about availability in Slovakia and will inform you.
