DJI SDR Transmission uses software-defined radio technology, combining SDR and Wi-Fi modes for video transmission. SDR technology significantly improves video transmission performance, providing higher stability, immunity to interference and better signal penetration. DJI SDR Transmission also enables Wi-Fi transmission in situations that require temporary monitoring. The device reaches a distance of 3 km [1], which makes it possible to capture dynamic images. Thanks to its excellent penetration capabilities, it meets the requirements for live monitoring in various demanding conditions.
DJI SDR Transmission has unlimited potential - Broadcast mode, unlimited number of receivers, compatibility with Ronin and remote controller, stable and resistant to interference, strong penetration, extended transmission distance, high transmission speed, high image quality.
DJI SDR Transmission provides live transmissions in 1080p resolution at 60 fps with a transmission speed of up to 20 Mb/s [2], ensuring smooth monitoring and effective collaboration.
DJI SDR Transmission enables seamless automatic switching of frequencies in the 2.4 GHz, 5.8 GHz and DFS bands. In case of interference, it automatically switches to the optimal channel. It effectively copes with difficult conditions.
In Broadcast mode, each transmitter can be connected to an unlimited number of receivers. It thus enables high-quality monitoring for multiple users and meets diverse needs.
Additional functions
minimum latency of only 35 ms, guarantees smooth monitoring and effective collaboration
supports the transfer of metadata from film cameras such as ARRI and RED via SDI. Directors, cinematographers and DIT teams thus gain immediate access to detailed information about the shoot in real time
supports real-time one-to-one communication [4] between receiver and transmitter, enabling seamless conversation between cameraman and director or client
DJI SDR Transmission supports multiple monitoring methods, simultaneously transmitting three SDR signals and two Wi-Fi signals. The receiver can transmit images to monitors via SDI/HDMI. The transmitter allows direct connection to phones or tablets via Wi-Fi, providing two-channel monitoring without the need for a receiver. DJI SDR Transmission also offers a USB-C output monitoring method that combines stability with practicality. Users can connect the receiver to a phone or tablet using a USB-C cable to ensure smooth and stable monitoring.
The newly improved DJI Ronin app
Switching camera indexes
When the DJI SDR Transmission is connected to the DJI Ronin in Broadcast mode, users can seamlessly switch between different camera indexes.
Possibility of local recording and playback
The application supports local recording. Uploaded content can be viewed on the playback page.
More monitoring options
The application supports major auxiliary monitoring tools such as LUT, Peaking, Waveform and False Color.
Additional functions
Control of stabilizers of the RS series [6]
Supports Force Mobile, Virtual Joystick and gimbal reset.
Channel setting
When DJI SDR Transmission is connected to the app in SDR Control mode or Wi-Fi mode, users can switch channels in the app while monitoring the quality.
Camera control*
The DJI SDR Transmission app supports PTP camera control, displays and sets aperture, shutter, ISO, and even allows you to trigger photo and video recording functions through the app. In addition, it supports CEC control of Sony cameras, which ensures the Mirror Control mode.
Various power options
Gimbal powered - thanks to the integrated power supply, the transmitter when used with DJI RS 4 Pro, DJI RS 4 or DJI RS 3 Pro [7] can be mounted on the gimbal and powered directly from it, eliminating the need for a separate battery.
Alternative power supply methods NP-F power source - Both the receiver and transmitter support standard NP-F batteries that provide a voltage from 6.8 to 8.4 V.
USB-C - DJI SDR Transmission has improved compatibility. It can be powered by a standard charger with PD protocol, with a USB-C power input with a rated voltage
9 V and 2 A.

Notes:
1. Transmission performance values in SDR and Wi-Fi modes were measured in a controlled test environment. SDR mode transmission distance of 3 km/10,000 feet has been measured
in FCC compliant Control mode (with Broadcast mode disabled) in an undisturbed, non-interference environment.
2. Measured in Control mode with Broadcast mode off.
3. Measured while shooting 1080p/60 fps video with Broadcast mode off, regardless of camera and display latency. Including the delay of the camera and the display on the screen, the figure is 80 ms.
4. This function is only available when the receiver is connected in Control mode.
5. Weight of one transmitter or receiver (including antennas). Actual weight may vary. Please refer to the actual weight of the product.
6. Compatible with DJI RS 4 Pro, DJI RS 4 and DJI RS 3 Pro models.
7. Sold separately.
