DJI Transmission is an integrated solution that combines a video receiver, monitor, controller, and recorder. Designed for native integration with the Ronin and DJI Master Wheels series, DJI Transmission is transforming the industry with its groundbreaking transmission that delivers visions without boundaries.

Transmission performance - Live HD transmission over long distances
DJI Transmission features O3 Pro video transmission technology, which offers a ground transmission distance of an incredible 6 km [1]. It also supports 1080p/60fps transmission with a maximum transmission rate of 50 Mbps, as well as live 16-bit audio monitoring at 48 kHz, providing large-scale production crews with an excellent visual and audio remote monitoring experience.

Ultra-low latency from start to finish
Both the video transmitter and receiver use the same chipset as the Ronin 4D, with each connection explicitly optimized to provide end-to-end ultra-low transmission latency when paired with film cameras like the ALEXA Mini LF.

Hassle-free automatic frequency selection
O3 Pro adds DFS bands to the traditional 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz frequency bands, offering up to 23 channels, giving professional crews a choice of transmission channels that are more convenient and interference-free. In addition, DJI Transmission supports tri-band automatic frequency selection, which automatically scans the electromagnetic environment and selects the best wireless channel.

With a built-in frequency converter, users can even manually select the optimal channel to avoid interference between devices. By installing high-gain antennas, transmission capability can be further enhanced.

One transmitter with multiple receivers
The High-Bright Remote Monitor supports a single transmitter with multiple receivers for video and audio channels in two transmission modes. In Control mode, DJI Transmission provides optimal transmission performance. Monitoring can be performed from two receivers simultaneously, while Ronin 2, RS 3 Pro, and camera focus can be controlled remotely.

For crews working with multiple members and teams, such as lighting, art, and props, Broadcast mode can be enabled in addition to Control mode, allowing for an unlimited number of receivers (transmission performance will differ from Control mode). This takes filming efficiency to a whole new level.

In dynamic multi-team environments like reality shows, DJI’s unique transmission protocol can help make better use of wireless channels. With DFS bands and seamless automatic frequency selection technology, DJI Transmission can work with 20 or more transmitters, sending signals to 20 or more monitors simultaneously. The result is a seamless and coordinated experience that is difficult to achieve with traditional transmission setups.

Integrated design
Compared to conventional solutions, DJI Transmission has an integrated high-brightness monitor with a built-in receiver, providing optimal portability and efficient setup to help you start filming quickly in any environment.

The remote monitor comes with a built-in image processing chip that is the same as the one used on the Ronin 4D. Thanks to this, it offers many functions for integrated and efficient reception, monitoring, control and recording in addition to monitoring.
Wide gamut touch screen
The High-Bright Remote Monitor features a 7-inch wide-angle touchscreen display with up to 1,500 nits of brightness. It comes standard with protective tempered glass and a professional monitor cover that ensures rich, true-to-life colors even in bright lighting conditions. With a resolution of 1920 x 1200, the screen can display an unobtrusive On-Screen Display (OSD) with visible details such as shooting parameters that make important information easily accessible.

Support tools
The remote monitor comes with support tools such as safe zone, frame, hatching, false color, peaks, and waveform for accurate composition, exposure, and focus.

Independent recording and playback
The remote monitor also features a microSD card slot and allows for live H.264 recording and playback at 1080p/60fps, as well as simultaneous access to video timecodes, making it easy to edit on set. When using multiple remote monitors, each monitor can even record or play back independently without interfering with the other monitors.

Collaboration with the DJI ecosystem, extensive control options and built-in motion controller
The High-Bright Remote Monitor also features a built-in gyro sensor that can transform the remote monitor into a standalone motion controller for the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro without additional accessories to achieve more complex camera movements from a moving vehicle or on a crane.

Compatible with Ronin 4D Hand Grips
The High-Bright Remote Monitor comes with a protective frame to prevent stretching. When used with the Ronin 4D Hand Grips [2], the joystick controls the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro gimbal, the focus wheel controls focus and adjusts camera parameters such as aperture, shutter, and ISO, while the record button controls start and stop recording [3]. This makes the RS 3 Pro user experience similar to the Ronin 4D.

Compatible with DJI Master Wheels and DJI Force Pro
When used with DJI Master Wheels or DJI Force Pro [4], the Remote Monitor allows users to achieve more advanced gimbal control when using the Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro. In this situation, the original device will transmit control signals directly through DJI Transmission and no longer use the wireless signal from DJI Master Wheels or DJI Force Pro. This triples the transmission performance and improves signal range, stability, and anti-interference.
Mirror Control Mode
When the RS 3 Pro is mounted on a crane, cable cam or vehicle, Mirror Control mode lets you remotely control Sony's range of mirrorless cameras from anywhere on set.

Installation on Ronin 2 | Installation on RS 3 Pro
Direct power to the gimbal
DJI Transmission can be paired with Ronin 2 or RS 3 Pro for a specific filming solution. The Video Transmitter can be installed directly onto the adapter on the bottom of the gimbal and powered directly, without additional batteries.

Another power solution
The Video Transmitter and High-Bright Remote Monitor are compatible with the DJI WB37 Battery. The included NP-F battery adapter for universal batteries can also be used.

To power the video transmitter and remote monitor using V-mount batteries. V-mount battery adapters from other manufacturers can also be used. Pogo pins can be found on the front and back of the video transmitter for attaching a specialized V-mount battery adapter to the camera, for common power supply of the camera and video transmitter. For continuous power supply, a P-TAP to DC-in power cable can be used to connect to an external power source.
