Want to achieve a professional, cinematic look for your footage without the hassle of color grading in post-production? The Luna Ultra Cine Collection is just what you're looking for. This set combines the convenience of magnetic mounting with the aesthetics of the popular Black Mist effect, giving your video a soft, organic, and cinematic look straight out of the camera.
Quick replacement thanks to magnets
Forget about the tedious process of screwing in filters. Luna Ultra's magnetic system allows you to change the filter in literally seconds - especially useful in rapidly changing weather or light.
True colors even with long exposures
Full Spectrum IRND technology maintains a uniform spectrum up to 850nm, eliminating the typical red/purple cast of conventional ND filters, ensuring colors remain accurate and natural in all conditions.
Three filters, one solution for every light
With three stops of aperture (ND8, ND32, ND128), you have control over exposure from cloudy skies to harsh midday sun, while maintaining the cinematic shutter speed characteristic of filmmaking.
Black Mist – a cinematic touch straight from the camera
The built-in diffusion effect gently rounds out highlights and suppresses excessive digital sharpness, resulting in a soft, "filmic" look sought after by professional camera operators around the world.
Optics that can handle even the most demanding sensors
Cinema Series glass is ground with an emphasis on maximum sharpness and resolution, so you maintain full image quality even when working with large full-frame sensors.
If you shoot video professionally or semi-professionally and care about a cinematic result without unnecessary compromises, the Luna Ultra Cine Collection will save you time both shooting and editing - all in a compact, easy-to-carry package.
The Insta360 Luna Ultra's bright f/1.8 lens lets in a lot of light, which results in very fast shutter speeds when shooting in daylight. The result is a sharp, "video" look instead of smooth, cinematic motion. The ND (Neutral Density) filter reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor, allowing you to set the right shutter speed for a cinematic effect while maintaining proper exposure.
The 180° rule is a basic principle of filmmaking that ensures naturally smooth motion. The shutter speed should be approximately twice the frame rate. When shooting at 24 fps, the ideal shutter speed is around 1/48–1/50 s, at 30 fps around 1/60 s, and at 60 fps around 1/120 s. Without an ND filter, bright daylight forces the camera to use a much faster shutter speed, resulting in a choppy and unnaturally sharp image instead of the smooth, cinematic motion blur.
The PolarPro Vivid Collection for Luna Ultra includes three combination ND/PL filters that cover most lighting conditions:
This combination allows you to maintain the correct shutter speed according to the 180° rule from a cloudy morning to the harsh midday sun.
A standard ND filter only reduces the amount of light hitting the sensor.
The ND/PL filter combines an ND filter with a polarizing filter, so in addition to regulating light, it also suppresses reflections from water surfaces, wet surfaces, glass or tree leaves. It is ideal for filming near water and outdoors. The PolarPro Vivid Collection combines both functions into one magnetic filter, so with a single change you get the correct exposure, richer colors and higher contrast.
No. PolarPro filters for the Insta360 Luna utilize Cinema Series optical glass with low refractive index and color neutral coatings. They provide precise exposure control without color shifts, loss of sharpness, or optical distortion when shooting video in both 4K and 8K.
The filters use a magnetic mounting system that simply clips directly onto the Insta360 Luna camera lens. No threads or adapters are required, so you can swap out individual ND filters in seconds based on the current lighting conditions while filming.
