This is DJI’s first-ever spotlight designed for drones equipped with multi-purpose payloads. The light is fully compatible with the Matrice 350 RTK and Matrice 300 RTK. It uses LEP (Laser Excited Phosphor) technology to provide exceptionally bright and long-range illumination. It offers a variety of lighting modes, making it ideal for public safety, search and rescue, technical inspections, and other night-time missions. The central illumination reaches a maximum of 35 lux at a distance of 100 meters [5], providing enough light to recognize details even in complete darkness. Power consumption in high beam mode is only 17 W [6], reducing the load on the drone and extending flight time.
The Zenmuse S1 has multiple protection features that ensure its reliable operation even in demanding conditions. Overheating, overload and overvoltage protection systems significantly extend the life of the device. Its plastic housing is designed to not exceed 50 °C (122 °F) [1] upon contact, which minimizes the risk of burns during handling. To increase operator safety, the reflector automatically reduces brightness to 40% of its maximum value whenever the drone is not in the air. Resistance to external influences is guaranteed by IP54 certification, which provides protection against dust and splashing water [8]. The device is also fully functional in a temperature range from -20 °C to 40 °C, which allows it to be used even in more extreme conditions. The reflector is lightweight and flexible – weighing only 0.76 kg [9] and can be attached to various types of gimbals (single downward, dual downward or single upward gimbal). Thanks to Mobile SDK support, the Zenmuse S1 can be seamlessly integrated into your own mobile applications, opening up the opportunity to fully utilize the capabilities of the drone platform for specialized tasks.
It provides a 15° field of view (FOV) [2] up to 150 meters [1], covering illumination within the camera range at 5x zoom and above [3]. This mode is ideal for most short-term search and inspection tasks.
It uses LEP technology for improved light transmission and offers a 4° field of view [4] with a range of up to 300 meters [1]. It covers the range of a camera with a zoom of 15x and higher [3], increasing efficiency in rescue operations and public safety activities.
It activates both low and high beams simultaneously, providing a higher central illumination intensity than high beam mode alone. It maintains the low beam field of view but extends the viewing distance up to 500 meters [1]. This mode provides maximum coverage and situational awareness.
It supports high-frequency strobe flashing, which effectively alerts target persons. This mode is extremely useful for signaling during rescue and security operations.
