The Freewell ND16 polarizing filter reduces light transmission by 4 EV, for shooting or taking photos under clear skies. With the use of a polarizing filter, you can achieve a more faithful presentation of colors and a better rendering of the sky.
ND (neutral filters) are filters designed to reduce the amount of light falling on the camera or video camera chip. It is thus possible to gain complete control over the light exposure to achieve the desired effects such as blurring the water surface, waterfall, cloud cover or preserving the natural motion blur in the video, which would otherwise be impossible to achieve without an ND filter.
The hybrid ND16/PL filter helps reduce the shutter speed by 4 EV, for shooting even in very sunny weather, especially in the morning and afternoon, while also reducing distracting reflections on shiny surfaces such as windows or water. With this filter, you can also achieve a cinematic "motion blur" effect.
