The Freewell ND32/PL Filter for Insta360 Luna Ultra is a hybrid filter that combines 5 stops of light reduction with a polarizing effect. It allows you to extend your shutter speed for natural cinematic motion blur while reducing reflections from water, glass, and wet surfaces. The lightweight, low-profile design maintains seamless camera stabilization.
The ND32 filter section reduces the amount of light passing through by 5 stops, allowing you to better control exposure in bright daylight and use longer shutter speeds without overexposing your image.
Limiting the amount of light allows you to set a longer shutter speed even on a bright day. This gives moving objects more natural motion blur and the resulting video a smoother, more cinematic look.
Integrated polarization helps reduce glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces, such as water, glass, or wet surfaces. This allows you to capture more detail in scenes where strong reflections would otherwise negatively affect the resulting image.
Suppressing distracting glare helps to enhance the natural colors and contrast of the scene. The ND32/PL is therefore suitable for landscapes, water, travel, automotive shots and other outdoor work in sunny weather.
The combination of ND32 and polarizing effect replaces the need for two separate filters. In one compact solution, you get control over the amount of light and glare, making it easier to work in the field.
Combining light reduction and polarization in one hybrid filter
The ND32/PL will be appreciated by creators who shoot in bright, sunny weather and need to control exposure and suppress glare at the same time – an ideal companion for landscapes, water, travel and outdoor shooting with reflective surfaces.
