The Freewell ND64/PL Filter for Insta360 Luna Ultra is a hybrid filter with a light reduction of 6 EV, designed for very bright conditions. It simultaneously suppresses glare and reflections, preserves natural colors and contrast, and allows you to achieve correct exposure and cinematic motion blur. The ultra-lightweight design does not limit the camera's internal stabilization.
The ND64 filter section reduces the amount of light passing through by 6 stops, allowing you to better control exposure in very bright conditions and use longer shutter speeds without overexposing the resulting image.
Significant light reduction allows you to maintain a longer shutter speed even on a sunny day. This gives moving subjects more natural motion blur and makes video look smoother and more cinematic.
The integrated polarizing effect helps reduce distracting glare and reflections from non-metallic surfaces. The filter is useful when filming water, through glass, on wet surfaces or in other environments with significant light reflections.
By reducing unwanted reflections, ND64/PL helps to achieve a clearer image with more natural and vivid colors. Polarization can enhance, for example, the sky, greenery, or details under the water surface.
The ND64/PL is suitable for very bright summer days, beaches, mountains, snow, water sports and other environments with high light intensity and strong glare. It solves both exposure and unwanted reflections in one filter.
The hybrid design combines the features of an ND64 and a polarizing filter into a single compact solution. This eliminates the need for separate ND and CPL filters, simplifying equipment and work when filming in the field.
ND64/PL will be appreciated by creators who shoot in extremely intense sunlight – on the beach, during water sports, in the mountains or in the snow – and need to simultaneously control exposure and suppress strong glare from reflective surfaces.
