The Freewell ND8 filter for the Insta360 Luna Ultra is a neutral density filter with a 3-stop light reduction, ideal for shooting in moderate daylight. It allows you to use longer shutter speeds for natural cinematic motion blur and smoother movement. The lightweight construction does not interfere with stabilization, and the press-and-click system ensures a quick and secure attachment.
ND8 limits the amount of light passing through by 3 exposure stops. It is particularly suitable for milder lighting conditions, such as cloudy skies, morning or afternoon shooting, or in scenes where a significant reduction in light is not necessary.
Using ND8 allows you to extend the shutter speed without the risk of significantly overexposing the image. This gives movement in the scene a more natural motion blur, which helps create smoother, more professional-looking video.
The filter is suitable for travel, outdoor activities, urban shots, landscapes and general daytime photography. ND8 is a practical choice in situations where there is too much ambient light for the desired shutter speed, but a stronger ND filter is not yet necessary.
The high-quality optical processing is designed to limit the amount of light without unwanted color shift. This preserves the natural appearance of the scene while giving you greater control over exposure parameters.
ND8 filters will be appreciated by creators who shoot in moderate daylight conditions – cloudy skies, mornings or afternoons – and want to achieve smoother, more cinematic video with natural motion blur without the need for more intense light reduction.
