The Freewell ND8 polarizing filter helps to reduce the shutter speed by 3 EV, for shooting or taking pictures in intense sunny weather. With the use of a polarizing filter, it is possible to achieve a more faithful presentation of colors and a better rendering of the sky.
Why use ND filters?
ND (neutral filters) are filters designed to reduce the amount of light falling on the camera or video camera chip. It is thus possible to gain complete control over the light exposure to achieve the desired effects such as blurring the water surface, waterfalls, clouds or preserving the natural motion blur in the video, which would otherwise be impossible to achieve without ND filters.
ND8PL filter
The hybrid ND8/PL filter helps reduce the shutter speed by 3 EV, for shooting in the strongest sunlight, especially in the morning and afternoon, while reducing distracting reflections on shiny surfaces such as windows or water. With this filter, you can even achieve a cinematic "motion blur" effect.
