The Freewell ND8/PL filter for the Insta360 Luna Ultra is a hybrid filter that combines a 3-stop light reduction with a polarizing effect. The ND8 part of the filter reduces the amount of light passing through by 3 stops. It is especially suitable for milder daytime lighting conditions when you need to gain more control over exposure and use a slower shutter speed.
By limiting the amount of light, the ND8/PL allows you to use longer shutter speeds without overexposing the image. This gives the movement in the scene a more natural motion blur, making the video appear smoother and more cinematic.
