The PolarPro CineRed 39 mm red filter is a 2-in-1 filter that combines a red filter and a Chroma polarizer in one piece. It is designed for black and white photography, especially in harsh and contrasting light. The red tone changes how colors are translated into monochrome. Blue skies darken, clouds become more distinct, and green tones in landscapes gain contrast. The built-in polarizer with a fixed 110° rotation also dampens distracting glare.
The filter uses PolarPro CinemaSeries™ glass with 16 layers of coating. The coating reduces glare and helps protect the glass from fingerprints, oils and scratches. The frame is made of 100% brass, so it is durable and weighs only 17g. A dual-density Defender cover provides protection. A protective case and microfiber cleaning cloth are also included.
