Native 2nd generation vertical scanning
The RS 4 Pro features an all-new horizontal plate and supports second-generation native vertical scanning for even greater efficiency. Without the need for additional accessories, the horizontal plate can be simply released and locked in the vertical position for easy switching to vertical scanning.
Continuous balancing
The tilt axis now has two roller bearings, making it easier to adjust. All three axes are coated with a low-friction Teflon™ coating, ensuring smooth balancing even when mounting heavy cameras.
When changing cameras or lenses, the fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis can be used to move the camera forward or backward, achieving precise balance to the millimeter. The top quick-release plate is complemented by an adjustable guide for secure attachment, preventing the camera from loosening or shifting.
Automatic screen lock
The OLED touchscreen display features a new auto-lock feature to prevent accidental touches during shooting. When the display is locked, the current gimbal and joystick modes are displayed at low brightness, helping to reduce power consumption.
2nd generation automatic axis locking
Next-generation automatic axis locking allows DJI RS 4 to quickly start up or enter sleep mode, greatly improving the efficiency of shooting, transitioning, and saving. In addition, axis locks have been improved to achieve smaller gaps, further reducing gimbal shake.
EXCELLENT STABILITY, EXTRAORDINARY STANDARD
DJI RS 4 Pro features 20% more motor torque across three axes, offering greater power redundancy after balancing. This ensures that the gimbal remains responsive and accurate in tracking movements, even when using heavy cameras or multiple accessories. Car Mount Mode
The new Car Mount mode optimizes the gimbal stabilization algorithm based on vehicle vibration and wind resistance data, enabling stable shooting even in unstable conditions.

ActiveTrack For new generations
With the all-new Focus Pro LiDAR [3] and AI algorithms, the next-generation ActiveTrack Pro enables the RS 4 Pro 3-axis gimbal to stably track a selected subject. Even if the subject is momentarily obscured, it can quickly reposition and maintain focus. ActiveTrack Pro delivers superior recognition and tracking performance even in multi-subject scenarios or when the subject is far away.
Dual focus and zoom motors for increased performance
DJI RS 4 Pro introduces a new joystick mode switch that allows you to control gimbal movement or lens zoom using the joystick.
When used with the Focus Pro Motor [4] in zoom control mode, it can perform Power Zoom for PZ lenses, Clear Image Zoom [7] and zoom with an external focus motor for native, precise and comfortable focusing.
Highly efficient lens control
When paired with two Focus Pro Motors [4], the DJI RS 4 Pro allows precise focus control by rotating the dial and lens zoom adjustment using the joystick, aiding smooth and seamless lens control.
DJI Focus Pro Hand Unit
The DJI Focus Pro features innovative LiDAR autofocus technology and a high-precision magnetically damped manual control unit: the Focus Pro Hand Unit. [3]
For group shooting, the RS 4 Pro gimbal can be controlled via devices such as DJI Master Wheels, DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips, and DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor. [3] You can also enable the LiDAR Waveform function on the High-Bright Remote Monitor for intelligent focus assistance [9], allowing for more precise control with the Focus Pro Hand Unit.
Efficient operation, flexible creation
DJI RS 4 Pro uses Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology and supports wireless shutter and zoom control. By switching the joystick mode to zoom control, the joystick can be used to operate both Power Zoom for PZ lenses and Clear Image Zoom. [7]
The shutter function can be adapted to FPV mode, where when you press and hold the shutter button, the gimbal's three axes follow the direction of the handle's movement. This is especially useful when shooting rotating footage or simulating POV.
A switch for quickly switching the gimbal mode between PF, PTF and FPV. You can also replace the FPV mode with 3D Roll 360 mode or a custom mode according to your current shooting preferences and requirements, ensuring seamless operation.
The RS 4 Pro can automatically capture Motionlapse, Track videos and panoramic images, and intelligently create high-quality short videos.

Focus control ecosystem
DJI Focus Pro provides a comprehensive and powerful solution for controlling the RS 4 Pro lens. Whether you're working alone or in a team, you can easily use intelligent LiDAR autofocus and multi-channel focus, aperture, and zoom control to dynamically control every moment of focus.
DJI Transmission Support
Creators can utilize the Ronin Image Transmitter [3] for high-resolution live streaming, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile, and more, for an integrated shooting experience with monitoring and control.
The DJI RS 4 Pro can simultaneously power the Focus Pro LiDAR [3] and DJI Video Transmitter [3] via the Focus Pro LiDAR to DJI Transmission Cable Hub [3], eliminating the need for an external V-mount battery. The DJI Video Transmitter can also be easily and directly mounted to the bottom of the RS 4 Pro via the cold shoe, making installation easier and reducing the need for manual setup.
Using the Ronin 4D Hand Grips [3] and High-Bright Remote Monitor [3], you can select LiDAR focus objects, switch focus modes, and enable LiDAR Waveform. [9]
Together with the Ronin 4D Hand Grips, [3] Focus Pro Hand Unit, [3] Master Wheels, [3] and High-Bright Remote Monitor, [3] you can remotely control the gimbal, focus and camera parameters, achieving an integrated creative process that includes reception, monitoring and control.
When the RS 4 Pro is attached to mounts such as a tripod, cable camera, or car suction cup mount, you can directly control basic menu operations of Sony cameras and other mirrorless cameras via the Mirror Control mode on the High-Bright Remote Monitor [3] without having to detach the camera.
Professional solution
DJI RS 4 Pro supports a variety of handheld configurations, including Briefcase, Dual Handle, and Ring Mount. [12] Additionally, it allows for the use of car mounts, tripods, Steadicams, cable cameras, and sliders via the DJI RS SDK, [12] meeting creative needs for all scenarios.
