The DJI O4 Ground Station is a ground station that provides the DJI Dock 4 with drone video transmission, an RTK base with 1 cm accuracy, and an internet connection. Without it, the Dock 4 does not work. With the Dock 3, these functions were directly in the station, with the Dock 4 they are in a separate device that you can place higher, for example on a roof or mast.
The price of the DJI O4 Ground Station is €2,242 including VAT. The entire system with the DJI Dock 4 (€19,999) and the Matrice 5TD drone (€9,999) costs €32,240 including VAT, excluding batteries. The Matrice 5TD batteries are sold separately. For operation with replacement, you need 2 to 4 pieces and we will add their price. One O4 Ground Station is required for each Dock 4. You can add more because the O4 supports roaming between multiple stations and the drone seamlessly switches from one to another during flight. This eliminates dead spots in large areas, behind buildings or in rugged terrain.

DJI recommends an elevated, open location without metal obstacles and away from telecommunications equipment, with a direct line of sight to the drone in the dock. Mounts on the ground or wall. If closer than 5 m from the dock, use the cable from the dock package, for longer distances use an outdoor waterproof Cat 6 cable with a diameter of 5.5–6.5 mm.

With the Dock 4, DJI moved the video transmission, RTK base, and network connection from the station to a separate ground station. The Dock 4 does not work without it. The advantage is that you can place the ground station higher than the dock, where it has a better signal.
Yes. The O4 Ground Station supports roaming between multiple stations, so the drone can seamlessly switch from one to another during flight and there are no dead spots in coverage. It doesn't work the other way around: the O4 docked only serves its paired drone.
It has its own backup battery with a capacity of 23.4 Wh, which keeps it running for approximately 45 minutes after a sudden power outage. It turns on automatically when power is restored via PoE.
Via Ethernet, ideally gigabit, with a speed of at least 20 Mbps in both directions. Alternatively, you can install the DJI Cellular Dongle 2 and connect via 4G.
